About
Inbal Newman is an interdisciplinary printmaker exploring seafaring and craft through a feminist lens. She has been the recipient of grants from Canada Council for the Arts, the Lunenburg Foundation for the Arts, and the President’s Medal from the Ontario College of Art and Design, where she completed a Masters of Design degree. She graduated with a BFA from Parsons School of Design in New York, after which she spent years as a letterpress printer and tall ships deckhand. She has since taught workshops and participated in residencies throughout the U.S. and Canada.
Inbal currently lives and sails in Mi’kma’ki (Nova Scotia).
